My Book List - Library Manager app good for
All you can do is point the iPad to scan the bar code. The app makes the Job. Retrieving all book metadata as author, title and inclusive cover art. Very simple. The interface is Apple Books-like.
My first book app and it is fine. Agree that having another stage to move books to after reading would be a help.
I really like this application, however I cannot get the bar scanner to recognize the books in my library, so each one has to entered manually by ISBN.
I would recommed this app, but ignore buying the bar scanner.
I love this app. I have a large collection of quilting books and with this app I can avoid duplicate purchases. Bar code feature works really well and saves a lot of typing.
It would be nice if we can have the total number of books that we have in our library. Its easier with the code bar but the ISBN works.You must buy it with the illimited edition. It would be nice too if we can reverse the scream because you can have only the vertical version. I have more than 500 cooking books and I recommend this app. Thank you.
The scanner works great. Lists are easily exportable. Deducting only one star for the frequency of push alerts.
Some bad moments
Useless without barcode scanning. When asked to enable it, nothing happens.
Many bar code read errors
List by author should use last name
Lacks batch input
Grid view is useless because very difficult to read
Interface With facebook does not work
List view should show authors names too. Always show author.
Scanner costs money
Screen not fitted for iPhone because you cant read everything
Wait for update
Unfortunately you have to pay for every new function... very bad!!!
Should be able to add a book even if index cant find it. Not really helpfulnif you cant make a complete list.
It does, indeed, keep a list of books. Nice that it goes out and finds the cover art. Needs some enhancements, however:
- option to switch views from the bookshelf view to a plain list, with sort options on the list - author, title, date read
- pick list on why I put the book in the app - I read it, I want to read it, I want to read the sequel,...
- my rating of the book
Version 1.2 - small improvements, but still not good enough. As someone else said, need to be able to include a book that it can not find itself. Also need to be able to rate a book.
